Making Disciples
The Mission of East Cobb Presbyterian church is to Make Kingdom Disciples for the Glory of God. Kingdom disciples seek to make visible God’s rule and reign wherever they live and work.
We Believe A Disciple Is A Person Who…
A disciple is a person who
has a deepening grasp of the gospel and is manifesting that understanding by growing in a life of love that is marked by both repentance and faith.
A disciple is a person who
has a life marked by responsible stewardship before God of their time, talents and resources.
A disciple is a person who
has a deep desire to fellowship with other believers which is expressed by commitment to and involvement in the local church, as well as a utilization of their spiritual gift(s).
A disciple is a person who
has a deep desire for God that is expressed in a regular use of the means of grace which will include, but is not limited to, a quiet time and having some regular Bible memorization.
A disciple is a person who
has a heart for those who are without God, can express the basics of the gospel in a way that is natural for them, and is seeking opportunities to love non-Christians.
