Tim grew up here in Roswell and then went to South Carolina for College and Seminary. He began in the pastoral ministry in 1994 serving as Youth Pastor and overseeing College and Children's ministry. From there he served as Lead Pastor of a church in Adrian, Michigan and for the past six years in a church in New Jersey. He is currently working on a Doctor of Ministry from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando. He and Debbie met in college and married in 1995. They have four children: David, Rebecca, Matthew, and Jonathan. As a family they love spending time together creating memories.
Pastor of Shepherding and Discipleship: Pastor Paul Owens
Paul joined our staff in 2013 as Director of Care & Counseling. Paul and his wife, Rhoda, are native Georgians. With their children, Daniel and Anne, were very young, Paul moved his family to Jackson, MS. There, he studied & received his Master of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary. Paul has served as a missionary in Budapest, Hungry and short term missionary in Russia. Most recently, Paul has been taking Clinical Pastoral Education courses of study to hone his skills in pastoral care. He is the proud father-in-law of Justin Reynolds and Vanessa Owens, and he is Papi to Kadence, Riley and Wyatt.
Director of Worship & Arts: Steve Germany
Steve joined our staff in July of 2011. He and his wife, Christa, are parents to son August "Gus" and daughter Ruby Claire. The Germanys moved to Marietta from north central Florida where Steve served as the Worship Director for a sister PCA church and as a guitar and percussion instructor for a school of music. He holds an Associates Degree in Music Education from Central Florida Community College and is currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Biblical Studies. Steve serves as the Worship and Arts Director and provides support and direction for Small Groups.
Director of Student Ministries: Kevin McQuillen
Kevin and his wife Nancy are both originally from Augusta, GA, where they met each other in youth group at First Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Augusta. Kevin attended and graduated from Covenant College and currently is working toward finishing his Masters of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary here in Atlanta. Kevin has been working in full-time student ministry with junior and senior high students since 1999 in South Carolina, Florida, and most recently here with us. Before that Kevin was a youth ministry volunteer and intern for over 5 years where he grew in his love for students with a great desire for them to know and put their faith in Jesus Christ. Kevin and Nancy have three children, Knox, Mallory, and Mary Cleo.
Student Ministry Administrative Assistant: Carolyn Summers
Carolyn Summers is our Interim Administrative Assistant for Student Ministries. Carolyn grew up in the ECPC student ministry. She has served as a summer intern as well as a 1-year intern last year, and is currently leading the 12th grade girls discipleship group. Carolyn is married to Caleb Summers.
East Cobb Christian School Administrator: Teresa Staley
Teresa has been involved with the school in various capacities for the last twenty years. She has taught kindergarten, fifth grade, and middle school. After completing her Masters of Educational Leadership degree at Covenant College in 1998, she served as principal over third through fifth grades at Perimeter School for two years. She has been principal of East Cobb Christian School for seven years. Teresa and her husband Errol have two adult children, Amanda and Chris. They also have two grandsons. Teresa and Errol have also taught Sunday school with twos and threes for many years.
Finance and Information Technology Manager: Debbie Serro
Debbie joined the staff in 2009 as the Finance and Information Technology Manager. She provides financial and technical services to both ECPC and ECCS as well as administrative oversight for the church management software. She has over 20 years of accounting and information technology experience with a degree in Computer Management. She has served as Finance Manager for other churches prior to coming to East Cobb. She lives in Marietta with her husband Marty, and two daughters. They are members of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
Assimilation Coordinator: Ted Robinson
Ted joined our volunteer staff in January 2009, after retirement allowed more time for leading our welcoming and greeting ministry with his wife Patty. Ted worked 28 years with IBM in marketing support and education, then 10 years as a contractor, before a 5-year stint in landscaping. Ted holds a B.A. in Math from Vanderbilt University and a diploma in Landscape Management from North Metro Technical College. A ruling elder at ECPC since 1992, he also assists in shepherding and administration. Ted and Patty have three adult children and eight grandchildren.
Dennis joined the ECPC staff in January 2010, serving as Facilities Manager. Dennis is also an active member of the Deacon Ministry Team. He and his wife Sheryl have four adult children.
Marj joined our staff in July 1999. She uses her love for children, her teaching background and her spiritual gifts of teaching and administration to lead and develop our ministry to children. Her educational experience includes a B. A. in Secondary Education and a major in English from Calvin College. Her teaching experience includes teaching high school and middle school students in Florida and Georgia. She has taught students with a variety of gifts and needs, including students in an ESOL program (English for Speakers of Other Languages), students with special learning needs and adult learners. Marj and her husband Jon have four children: Rachel (in college), Deena (in high school), Andrew (in middle school) and Matthew (in elementary school).
Donna joined our staff in August 2001. Donna and Mark Minday (ECPC elder) moved from Greenville, SC in 1990, and have been members of East Cobb Presbyterian Church almost that entire time. Donna has served on the WIC Council at ECPC for five years, Director of Nurseries for ten years, and has assumed the responsibilities of Church Administrator in November 2010. Mark and Donna have four daughters who are in high school, college and graduate school.
