ABOUT THE WOMEN IN THE CHURCH The women's ministry at East Cobb is called WIC, which stands for Women in the Church. The purpose of WIC is that every woman knows Christ personally and is committed to extending His Kingdom in her life, home, church community and throughout the world.
WIC is not a club. It is a ministry to our women and to the church as a whole. It includes all the women in the church, from high school age on up. WIC comes under the authority of East Cobb's session and is accountable to them. As women of the church, we seek to come along side of, support and encourage the word and ministry of our church. You may be interested in reading more about the goals of the Women in the Church. The WIC Ministry Team consists of 10 positions: Senior Co-President, Junior Co-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Prayer Chairman, Hospitality Coordinator, Events Coordinator, Mercy Coordinator, Communications Coordinator and a Retreat Coordinator. Each woman serves a two-year period. If interested, you can find out about the job descriptions for the ministry team positions.
The WIC Ministry Team selects a theme and Bible verse each year. There are five large events throughout the year and they focus on this theme and verse.
