MINISTRY TEAM JOB DESCRIPTIONS
Senior Co-President
- Plan for and preside at all WIC Ministry Team meetings.
- Prepare agenda for each Ministry Team meeting.
- Work with Ministry Team members to plan for the short/long-term WIC goals.
- Train Ministry Team members in leadership (through example, seminars, etc.).
- Oversee the Ministry Team members’ responsibilities and assist as needed.
- Liaison/contact to the pastor and the session.
- Oversee Jr. Co-President responsibilities and assist as needed.

Junior Co-President
- Assist Senior Co-President as requested.
- Work with Ministry Team members to plan for the short/long-term WIC goals.
- Train Ministry Team members in leadership (through example, seminars, etc.).
- Provide a yearly program of Bible studies by coordinating the study materials and selection of teachers for the groups and arrange for child-care. (Study materials and teachers’ names must be approved by the Session.)
- Act as a liaison between the Bible study leaders and the WIC Ministry Team should issues arise that need Ministry Team attention.
- Be Ministry Team contact for Spiritual Mother Coordinator.
- Coordinate with Communications Coordinator and make available recommended books and/or tapes to encourage spiritual growth among the women. (Unless obtained through the local church or PCA sources, must be pre-approved by the Session.)
- Liaison/contact to the PresWIC and National WIC.
- Organize PCA WIC Love Gift.
Secretary
- Record actions taken at WIC Ministry Team meetings.
- Provide copies of meeting minutes to all Ministry Team members and the pastor.
- Be responsible for correspondence as directed by Co-Presidents.
- Send baby cards to new moms and sympathy cards to grieving members of the congregation.
- Working with the Ministry Team, develop annual WIC survey. Distribute and record results of the survey. Put survey results in usable form and analyze information to ensure all areas of the survey have ownership by a member of the Ministry Team or a different church ministry team.
Treasurer
- Receive all money of the WIC and direct the payment of bills and disbursements of funds as directed by the WIC Ministry Team through the church secretary.
- Keep a record of all receipts and disbursements.
- Present a current financial report to the WIC Ministry Team as requested.
- Oversee the financial aspect of any WIC event and the WIC Retreat, as well as the WIC Love Gift and any fundraisers.
- Assist the Events and Retreat Coordinators with their budgets and prepare statements for each event.
- Prepare and coordinate the annual budget request for WIC with the church Stewardship Committee.
Prayer Chairman
- Set up and maintain the phone prayer chain. Work with church secretary to maintain e-mail prayer chain.
- Receive prayer requests and funnel them to the e-mail prayer list and/or to the prayer chain leaders.
- Maintain the list of women in our church and assign women to Ministry Team members for prayer.
- Provide a Bible verse to the Ministry Team members once per month for prayer for the women in our church.
- Lead the prayer time at WIC Ministry Team meetings.
- Encourage growth in prayer among the WIC.
- Coordinate women to do devotional on WIC website.
- Coordinate women for prayer corner devotional in women’s newsletter.
Events Coordinator (one year position on WIC Ministry Team after being Jr. Events Coordinator off Ministry Team for one year)
- Revisit previous year’s events to insure they are in line with the vision of ECPC.
- Set dates and basic topics/themes for WIC events by June 1 each year, with the help of a brainstorming team if necessary.
- With the assistance of the Jr. Coordinator, plan, oversee and execute all WIC events, which may change to keep up with the vision and demographics of the church each year.
- Recruit leaders/ committees to assist with each WIC event.
- Serve as a support for the Event managers and a s a liaison between them and the WIC Ministry Team.
- Coordinate event registration with the WIC Hospitality. Submit bulletin announcements and inserts to publicize event, with a copy to Communications Coordinator.
- Train Session-approved Jr. Events Coordinator to become Events Coordinator for next year.
Communications Coordinator
- Oversee quarterly Newsletter publication.
- Coordinate publicity for events, Bible studies, conferences (non-ECPC retreats), including timing and method of communication (mailers, bulletin, restroom displays, bulletin board, announcements, etc.)
- Be contact for and coordinate WIC input to the new Church Newsletter. Oversee bulletin announcements and inserts.
- Oversee the WIC Book Club. Submit bulletin announcements and inserts to publicize event.
- Coordinate with Jr. Co-President and make available recommended books and/or tapes to encourage spiritual growth among the women. (Unless obtained through the local church or PCA sources, must be pre-approved by the Session.)
- Commence publicity for particular events when directed by Events Coordinator.
- Oversee the Women’s Ministries website page and coordinate content with ECPC Website manager.
- Periodically incorporate topics in newsletter as identified by WIC Ministry Goals.
Hospitality Coordinator
- Set up and staff registration tables.
- Gather names of visitors from the Assimilation Committee and contact those visitors to invite them to upcoming WIC events.
- Assign team of women to assist with hospitality greeting at WIC events.
- Review all e-mails submitted to the WIC Ministry Team via the church website. Respond or forward as appropriate.
- Retrieve and field e-mail queries from the ECPC Women’s Ministries website.
Retreat Coordinator
- Plan, execute and oversee the WIC retreat.
- Decide on a theme or topic for retreat, preferably one that is in keeping with the annual WIC theme.
- Select speaker with Ministry Team approval and committee members.
- Research and reserve retreat center.
- Monitor retreat committee’s responsibilities.
- Plan budget for retreat cost.
- Communicate with retreat center and speaker as needed.
- Prepare weekend schedule.
- Submit bulletin announcements and inserts to publicize event, with a copy to Communications Coordinator.
Mercy Coordinator
- Serve as liaison to the Diaconate for mercy items and be a member of the Mercy Ministry Team (MMT).
- Lead a team of women to assist the deacons with mercy requests on both an ongoing and emergency basis.
- Assisted by the MMT, coordinate training for providing mercy.
- Work with HFC Leaders as needed to coordinate mercy for extenuating circumstances.
- Encourage ECPC women to take part in some area of mercy.
- Serve as contact for those seeking opportunities in mercy.
- Be Ministry Team contact for meals coordinator.
